Single-lane automatic machine Pneumatic-100/DW

with weight dispenser

Purpose: For automatic filling and packaging into 3-seam “Stick” bags from a roll of film.
Products: Free-flowing small granular food products and materials for technical use: sugar, salt, spices, seasonings, granulated and sublimated coffee, granulated tea, sugar sprinkles, dietary supplements, fertilizers, agrochemicals, and others.
Packaging materials: BOPP films, laminates, laminated paper, multilayer films. Thickness — from 20 to 70 microns.

Operating principle: The film is unwound from the roll, passes through the tension roller and photo mark detection zone. On the collar former, the packaging material strip is formed into a tube. The longitudinal/center seam is sealed. Then, the horizontal jaws unit seals the film with two transverse seams and makes a cut between them. At this stage, the previous bags are sealed and the bottom of the next bags is formed. Once the new bag is formed, the machine sends a command to the dispenser to release a dose. The dispenser dispenses a dose of product through the tube into the prepared bag. Simultaneously, the bag is pulled to the required length. The bag length is controlled by the photo mark printed on the film, or, if the material has no photo mark, by the length set on the machine. After filling the product and pulling the bag, the machine sends a command, and the horizontal jaws unit starts the next automatic cycle — sealing the previous bags and forming the bottoms of the next ones.

In machines with weight-based dispensers, the product dose is formed using control units that manage each individual dispenser. The product weight is measured using a load cell, and the weight of the product collected in the hopper is displayed on the control unit’s screen. Weight dispensers are more accurate compared to volumetric and screw dispensers, but they have lower productivity since the dosing process takes more time. In such dispensers, the product moves from the hopper into a feeding mechanism, which directs the product into the hopper, where it is weighed in real-time. When most of the dose is already in the hopper, the control unit reduces the feed speed and tops it off to the set dose as determined by the operator, considering the specified dosing tolerances. After the dose is formed, a check-weighing is performed, after which the control unit unloads the hopper and discharges the product into the package. Depending on the properties of the product being packaged, weight dispensers are made with different product feeding mechanisms. This can be either a vibration feeder, where the product is fed into the hopper from the bin by vibration, or a belt conveyor for more delicate or brittle products.

Operator actions: The operator monitors the presence of product in the loading hopper, loads the film, adjusts the dosage and other variable parameters. The finished product is packed into group packaging (if the group packaging option is not installed).
